3/24/2023 0 Comments Neck diagrams license code email![]() ![]() It seems a no brainer to put something like that into Sibelius, Finale, GuitarPro, TuxGuitar, etc.Īnd Guitar Alchemy doesn't work. I'm just really surprised that no one else has done what Neck Diagrams has done. Not exactly looking forward to this, but what the hell. If I end up doing all this, I will zip it all up and put it somewhere and post it here for everyone to use. I used to use it to turn photoshop custom shapes into fonts - for example a band logo I could turn into a font. I don't remember what or how to use it, but I'm sure it will come back to me. I have on my old desktop (old work one) some font creation tools. It looks like I'm just going to have to make a whole bunch of Photoshop custom shapes. Works nicely if you want to use O and etc. Another trick I tried in Excel was to not draw the outlines, but to put a space in the cells, and then hilight that space and use the font tools to draw a line through it. Unfortunately there is no way to then draw dots on the lines. They are nice for printing out on paper and hand drawing stuff in, but I have already done that and want it on the PC! I actually made the ones that I use and print out in Excel. There is no way to easily draw dots on the frets of those. It looked like they were just jpgs or whatever. I wonder what all the magazine publishers use.Īren't those just images? I looked at the thread. I just REALLY do not want to have to resort to Photoshop for it. Sibelius 6 does it but it is primitive and offers no color coding or anything. I own GuitarPro (not upgraded to 6 yet), and I have TuxGuitar. I'm downloading Guitar Alchemist right now to check it out. I've googled and looked at TONS of stuff and can't really find much. If you THINK some software MIGHT MAYBE do it, then check into it before posting please. Unfortunately I don't think that will work. Hell if there were an easy (remember I said EASY) way to create what I want in MS Word, that would be great. ![]() You know they work hard on that software, blaqh blah blah" - Yeah, I know. And PLEASE do not turn this thread into "you should get it and just pay. software looks perfect, but $50 is a bit more than I want to spend on something like that. I would like some way of color-coding the dots I put on the neck, and possibly writing inside the dots (notes or scale degrees, etc). I want to be able to display a larger number of frets than chord software. Most of the software out there either only does pre-defined scales and arpeggios, or has a fretboard, but it is not printable. I'm looking for software to help me create my own fretboard diagrams. ![]()
